In today’s tough business climate we all need to ensure that everyone is working at their optimum level. Key to that is to ensure that first tier or front line managers – people such as supervisors, team leaders and project leaders – are able to play their full part.
Acas, the employment relations service, has come to the aid of senior management with a new guide on how to get the best out of their front line managers or FLMs.
Research by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development has found that FLMs can strongly influence how well an employee decides to do their job. The new guide, ‘Front line mangers’, will help employers recognise the critical role of such staff in business success.
