What’s happened to swine flu?

by Robert Hunt on May 18, 2009

Have you noticed that swine flu was exciting the media a few weeks ago, but now seems to have slipped off the front pages and down the news bulletins? It has, of course, been replaced by the many stories about MPs and their expenses.

(The joke has already circulated about the connection between some MPs and pigs – which seems mighty unfair on the piggies as none have ever been found to be ‘creative’ when submitting their expenses!)

But we all know that swine flu has not really gone away and it’s good that various bodies, such as the NHS are trying to stop us all being swept up in the media hysteria.

I think one of the best and most comprehensive sources of information for employers, updated regularly, is the Business Link website.  It includes links to lots of related advice and information – none of which is calculated to foment yet more panic.
