Coaching on the increase

by Robert Hunt on August 23, 2009

More employers are realising that coaching is a key part of staff training, according to research covering over 500 companies conducted by the CIPD.

It seems that almost 90 per cent of organisations now use coaching, with half considering it to be a key part of learning and development.

In the past coaching and mentoring as a means of staff development has sometimes been neglected, but the recession has changed attitudes somewhat.

Perhaps some employers are realising that their staff really are their greatest asset after all?
