Training Right Date Looms

by Robert Hunt on January 13, 2010

There’s only 12 weeks to go before employees gain their new right to request time for training. With that in mind the government is publishing guidance for employers about their new responsibility.

The introduction of the right will be phased, with employees in organisations with 250 or more people gaining it in April of this year and those in smaller organisations getting it in April 2011.

Many employers already realise the benefits of having a properly trained workforce. I hope that others will see the new right as a benefit, not a burden.
