The key to developing the companies of tomorrow is in investing in leadership development today. That’s the message in the Best Companies for Leadership survey from Bloomberg BusinessWeek and Hay Group, which makes essential reading for everyone in management.
The survey, based on responses from over 1,000 organisations in 98 countries, looks in detail at the top 20 companies for leadership. Not surprisingly, almost all are companies well know in the UK, including IBM, IKEA, Coca-Cola, Hewlett-Packard and Wal-Mart.
Each brief case study includes an interesting quote from a senior executive highlighting their company’s commitment to leadership development.
What a pity, though, that none of the top 20 appear to be British-based companies!
