Learning and development changes forecast: coaching, development and performance management are likely to see greater integration over the next five years according to the findings of a key survey, heralding big changes in staff training to drive organizational change.
This ties in with the findings of our own company, Fuse Learning, as clients seek to ensure that all staff training, learning and development is geared towards organizational improvement.
The findings are taken from the Learning and Talent Development 2010, the annual survey from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), which covered over 700 practitioners.
Almost half practitioners forecast the move to integration, with over a third saying there will be a greater responsibility devolved to line managers.
The survey also showed significant increases in the number of practitioners using coaching and in the use of e-learning. Not surprisingly in view of the economic climate, a quarter of respondents reported less usage of external events including conferences and workshops.
