We all know how nerve wracking
interviews can be. There are lots of things you can do to make the
experience less stressful and to tip the balance in your favour. Here
is an example:
Be
Prepared Take the time to find out some
key
facts about the organisation you are going to see.
Who is their CEO?
Who is on the Board?
What are their backgrounds?
How is the organisation doing financially?
What is their important recent news?
Any important organisational information or news that relates to
the vacancy
Really, anything that will
demonstrate that you are not just looking for a job, but that you are
keen to work for this
organisation.
And don't just let the interview
go
by without showing them that you have prepared. Spot or create the
opportunities to demonstrate this information. Start a question with a
piece of information that you have researched.
e.g."I notice from your Chairman's Annual Report that you are opening
up the North American market. How will this be driven from a marketing
perspective?"
Anything that lets you
demonstrate
that you are driven by a desire to work for this organisation and are
not just another job seeker.
